Live Simply Street Ministry at Local Dump

We have been so humbled to serve families living in the local city dump. Every day the families take turns digging thru the new trash looking for anything of value or recyclable plastic they can trade for pennies. We are blessed to share hope thru the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Pictured is Ruth, she is a mentally challenged 22 year old. Her Dad Bonafacio has raised her by himself since birth. Her birth mother abandoned her after learning Ruth was developmentally slow. Bonafacio accepted Christ as his personal Savior through our street visitation program. He cannot read or write but carries a new Bible in his work vest every where he goes. He works 7 days a week as a mule at our local open air market beginning at 3am every day. Your support allows Ruth to go daily to a vocational school for the mentally challenged in Arequipa. She learns basic life skills such as cooking, sewing, leather work and grooming skills.

Bonafacio always worries what will happen to Ruth when he goes to Heaven. He always tells Maisie and Sandro that he wants them to raise Ruth. Bonafacio doesn’t understand why Ruth hasn’t developed or grown out of her retardation. His is a very loving father and cherishes his daughter but does not have the understanding of her condition. Your support allows us to love her, one day God may have a greater need for Ruth in our family!

Join the Live Simply for Orphans family. There's no better way to make an impact than to become an active advocate yourself. Sponsor a Special Needs Orphan, After School Feeding Center, Single Mom, Hospital Visitation Ministry or a missionary now and make an impact!

We view each of our children in our ministry as members of our Live Simply for Peru forever family. Just like any parent, we are very proud of each child, dream of their future and love to show them off. We invite you to meet our kids, hear their stories and allow them to grow up in your family.

Our Special Needs "We Feed Ourselves" Garden project is our vocational style training program for the older boys at the special needs orphanage. We have a giant vegetable garden to help feed our kids!

Our Single Mom Family support allows our Mom's to provide for their children keeping the family unit at home and together.

Our Live Simply Hospital Visitation Ministry shares the Gospel, prayer and love with over 100 patients/families every week now.

MY MENTOR, MY BROTHER and MY BEST PAL CHARLIE CRAIG

Update on Dad (Charlie Craig from son Josh Craig)
4/21/2018

At 9:04 this morning, our Charlie was called up to a magnificent Tee Box on the most beautiful Golf Course he has ever played! Trumpets sounded and Angels rejoiced as he made his way down the fairway towards those Gates of Pearl where he met his beloved Roxy.

Mom, Nate and Myself stayed up most of the night sharing stories and laughing. We tired down early this morning by the calming rhythm of Dads breathing. There is a great peace within us now.

Thank you all for the prayers, words and thoughts. Our Charlie was your Charlie, and more so than we ever thought before.

Much Love!!

The Craig’s (Mom Kathy, Josh, Nate and Amanda the Artist)

OUR SIX REASONS WE SERVE AS MISSIONARIES

He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose. We want our grandchildren to grow up with the heart and mindset of serving in the mission field as Christ commands. We miss so many life moments, our hearts are torn but we are confident an Eternity in Heaven is a sacrifice worth living for them. We love you! Mima and Poppy

MEET MISSIONARY STEELE SANDRO MENDOZA

Steele, today you are 5 days old and your Daddy and I are still amazed that God chose us to be your parents. You were born a month early so you had to stay in the special care unit for a couple of days hooked up to so many monitors. Your little hands and feet are still bruised from where they had to run so many tests and from the IV. These have been the hardest days of my life but I now truly understand a mother's love. We know God has great plans for you and though this road has been hard we know God is faithful. We love you Steele Sandro Mendoza and are so thankful for you.
